Skills Development
Our work with clients is based on the belief that the acquisition of skills, in isolation, does not lead to
improved business performance. However we find that skills development in context can be very
powerful. We have developed a series of skills workshops that meet the needs of clients whilst
overcoming the problem of transferability of learning.
The integrated learning design combines a menu of skills workshops and an action learning process
supplemented by rigorous psychometric assessment using the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI).
An overview of the skills development workshops is set out below and these can be tailored or
customised to suit the particular requirements.
Judgement and Decision Making Skills Workshop
This workshop introduces and grounds the analytical skills needed for sound judgement but also covers
the different skills necessary for shared decision making and dealing with a changing and complex
world.
Communication and Influencing Skills Workshop
Each of us has our own preferred or habitual way of communicating, of which we are often unaware.
This workshop explores your personal communication style, itís effectiveness and drawbacks and then
introduces alternative styles that can be employed according to the situation.
Planning and Organisation Skills Workshops
The demands of a busy organisation can be overwhelming for many people. Being able to simplify and
reduce the demands is an important coping strategy. But for those skilled in creating order, the complex
chaotic reality of organisations can be equally frustrating. This workshop introduces a complexity
approach to planning and organisation.
Achievement Skills Workshops
To see far is one thing. To go there, that is another. These words get at the heart of achievement in
organisations. The skills needed to powerfully envision your direction and goals are introduced
alongside the qualities needed to turn vision into action ñ and results.
Team Working Skills Workshop
Organisations derive their value through people working together to achieve what cannot be done
alone. Team working is essential to successful business and this workshop explores the value to be
found in the differences between people - and, importantly, the skills to realise this value.
Coaching and Facilitation Skills Workshop
Coaching and facilitation are fundamental skills for anyone wishing to develop the capability for change.
Whether working one to one or in groups this workshop will increase the impact an individual can have
on others and the value they represent to the organisation.
